For Singapore numbers recipient, the masked sender ID is a 5-digit short code. When the recipient is travelling, he can still receive the SMS except he is unable to reply to the 5-digit short code.
2 Possible Scenarios:
- Recipient seems to be able to reply but RapidRecall will not receive it. This is because the carrier may have similar 5 digit codes in the host country.
- The carrier in the host country will reject reply to the 5 digit code because they cannot recognise it.
Ways to overcome when planning activation:
- Educate the users to reply to the international incoming number we provide but the recipient will incur international roaming SMS charges.
- Use the Acknowledgement link to reply (if the activator has put in the link during activation).
